1. CHESTERTOWN TEA PARTY FESTIVAL 
May 27 - 29, 2022

Tea Toss Reenactment, Colonial Parade, Street Party, Raft Race, Street Performances, Colonial Crafts, Strolling Musicians, Local Fare, 5k & 10 mile run and more including…
Wine and Craft Beer Tasting held on Sunday at Wilmer Park from noon to 4 p.m. The event will feature local Maryland wineries and craft brewers.

Town ordinance prohibits dogs at the festival.

4. CHADDS FORD HISTORICAL SOCIETY

CFHS September 11th Battle at Chadds Ford
Saturday, September 10th and 11th, 2022, 10:00am - 5:00pm

The CFHS is excited to announce that on Saturday, September 10th and Sunday, September 11th, 2022 we will be hosting a battle reenactment. Join us for a historical journey back to September 11th 1777 when the British army engaged Washington's troops at Chads' Ford.  Three timed skirmishes will take place throughout the day.  Additionally, reenactors, camp followers, demonstrators and other historians will be on site for all to engage with.  Live music, food, and beverages will be available.

5. September 23-25, 2022 -  Join in the 245th anniversary of the "Battle of Brandywine" on the original historic ground at Sandy Hollow Heritage Park, Birmingham Township, PA.   The 43rd Regiment of Foot and Ninth PA Regiment invite you to participate in a major 240th commemoration of the Battle of Brandywine on the original battlefield.  Effort will be made to approximate the original engagement using the adjacent horse farm and woodland as well as Sandy Hollow, now a wide open grassy township park where the Marquis de Lafayette was wounded, a battlefield a mile long.

6. NEWTOWN HISTORIC ASSOCIATION MARKET DAY

​Market Day is an annual outdoor event that celebrates the colonial tradition of local farmers & homesteaders bringing their crops, livestock, and homemade wares into town to sell to neighbors & townspeople. It is our proud tradition to feature high-quality crafters, artisans & fine artists; colonial-era demonstrations, reenactments & activities; farm stands; entertainment for all ages; and food from local restaurants.
